Accessible Niagara

All the information you need to plan a wheelchair or scooter accessible vacation.

About introduces you to the Niagara Peninsula located between Lakes Ontario and Erie. This area also includes beautiful Niagara Falls, Ontario. The site is specifically written to provide detailed information for people using mobility devices such as wheelchairs and electric scooters.

The site features more than two dozen accessible attractions including Niagara Falls and a ride on the Maid of the Mist to the basin of the falls, 40 of Niagara’s beautiful wineries, restaurants, theatre and festivals by the month, where to shop, and where to see our beautiful gardens. There’s even a butterfly conservatory to explore and free flying tropical birds to roll under.

Finding an accessible place to stay is one of the most difficult items on any disabled travelers list. We have listed 17 hotels, bed and breakfast accommodations, a beautiful cottage on the lake you can rent, a respite suite where you can hire help and even a retreat right down the road from the falls. All have been audited and all written up in detail with photos.

If there's something that you need that we don't have in our Services and Troubleshooting section, please get in touch with me via e-mail (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and I'll do my best to find it. We also have a brochure available by mail. In the meantime, please keep logging on.

The site features many categories, including a section on things to do that are free, and many places to see, things to do, and great stuff to experience for you in Niagara and it's all accessible.
